CBMS Athletics Updates


2026 - 2027 DIAA ELIGIBILITY UPDATES


REGISTRATION FOR APPOQUINIMINK SCHOOL DISTRICT ATHLETICS 2026 -2027 IS NOW OPEN IN RANK ONE 
How To Register in Rank One: Visit DIAA for Parents Scroll down to the Rank One Parent Portal and follow all directions. 

An instruction guide and tutorial video is provided for your reference. The guide provides step-by-step instructions on how to set up your parent account.

REMINDERS:
  • All athletic registration must be done in Rank One. No documents for athletics will be accepted at the school.
  • To be eligible to participate in interscholastic athletics for the 2026-2027 school year, all student-athletes need a DIAA PPE (preparticipation physical exam form) completed by their physician or qualified healthcare provider after April 1, 2026.
  • DIAA has created a new PPE form.  This will be the only form accepted for the 2026-2027 school year. The new form will be posted on the DIAA and school athletic websites.  Please see the DIAA MEDICAL FORMS PAGE page (click link) for more information.

- Please utilize the TEAM TABS on the left hand side of the screen as well as the information tabs at the top of the page. Answers to the majority of questions you may have can be found here! 
- You can find all coaches email addresses under their team page, and by clicking on their coaches' page. Reach out to the head coach via email for more information for your specific sport!

Middle School Sports for the 2026-2027 School Year:  

Cantwell's Bridge Middle School is offering the following middle school sports for the 2026-2027 school year: 

Fall: Cross country (G & B), Field Hockey (G), Volleyball (G)

Winter: Basketball (G & B), 

Spring: Track & Field (G & B), Volleyball (B)

Due Date for DIAAs (Fall) 8/31 (Winter) 11/3 (Spring) 3/2

Any athlete wishing to try out for a sport at and/or participate in any off season activities MUST be

  1.  registered into Rank One with current DIAA Physical, AND

  2.  eligible according to all DIAA regulations and ASD policies 


Fall try-outs begin on Tuesday, September 8, 2026.  Registration must be completed by August 31, 2026.  Any late registrations will require 48 hours to approve.
 

DIAA Physical (PPE)

Athletes are not permitted to participate in any athletic activity without a current DIAA Physical Form uploaded in Rank One.  No paper copies will be accepted.  Forms must be completed after April 1, 2026 to be eligible for the 2026-2027 school year.  Forms are valid from April 1, 2026 through June 30, 2027.  The DIAA Physical Form is available on the high school athletic websites and the DIAA websites.  

 

DIAA Regulations

Athletes must be in compliance with all DIAA regulations.  Please note that enrollment in a school does not guarantee athletic eligibility.  The following factors determine eligibility:  attendance, residence, age, amateur status, transfer status and academics.

 

Appoquinimink School District Athletic Policies

Athletes must be in good academic standing according to ASD policies and abide by all other District and school participation guidelines.  These guidelines are shared by coaches.

Fall Sports Tryout Information 26/27


Tryout Date:
Tuesday, September 8th, 2026
2:30 PM – 4:00 PM
Girls & Boys Cross Country, Girls Volleyball, Girls Field Hockey

All practices will run Monday through Thursday, 2:30–4:00 PM.


Important Participation Requirements:
To be eligible for tryouts and practices, you MUST have:

  • A valid 2026-2027 DIAA Sports Physical

  • Completed Rank One Registration

Check-In Process:
All athletes will report to the cafeteria for DIAA and registration verification. Once verified, you’ll be released to your designated area for tryouts.

Summer Sports Camps



Spring Sports Message


Spring Sports Start March 9, 2026


Must be Cleared on Rank One by March 2, 2026

The CBMS Athletic Department will make every effort to check Rank One registrations, physicals, and update tryouts lists every 24 hours.  


If a student has registered in Rank One and uploaded a physical by Monday, March 2 before 2:00 PM — the Physical will be checked and the status will be updated in Rank One.  If a student is still marked as not eligible, a note has been added explaining why. (Common issues are incomplete physicals, physicals not uploaded, missing signatures, and physicals on the papers other than DIAA.)  Please amend and resubmit by March 2, 2026! 

Please check your status on Rank One every 24 hours if you needed to make an amendment. 

If your student has not submitted a DIAA physical exam or has not been cleared on Rank One , they are not permitted to participate in or stay after school for tryouts.

Winter Sports Message


The CBMS Athletic Department will make every effort to check Rank One registrations, physicals, and update tryouts lists every 48 hours.  

If a student has registered in Rank One and uploaded a physical by Monday, November 3 before 2:00 PM — the Physical will be checked and the status will be updated in Rank One.  If a student is still marked as not eligible, a note has been added explaining why. If any athlete wanting to try out for a winter sport submits his or her physical after 2:00 pm on Monday (or makes an amendment after Monday), November 3, the athletic department may take up to 48 hours for clearance.

Please check your status on Rank One every 24 hours if you needed to make an amendment or if you registered after Monday, November 3 at 2:00pm.

If your student has not submitted a DIAA physical exam or has not been cleared, they are not permitted to participate in or stay after school for tryouts
